Every year on 18 July, individuals, businesses and governments around the world honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela by dedicating 67 minutes of their time to charitable work. This year, we used the opportunity to bring relief to children in our local community.
For this year’s Mandela Day we provided food to a local farm school.
In honour of the tradition of Mandela Day, we spent 67 minutes making over 200 sandwiches for children at a local farm school in Durbanville in the Western Cape.
We then delivered the sandwiches along with fresh fruit and juice to the school. It was a humbling experience for all involved and we look forward to continuing this tradition by supporting other less fortunate schools in our community in the future.
We would like to thank Sanlam Investments for their support with this initiative.
67 minutes well spent to support our local community.
